Six Feet Apart Productions
ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW
Help us celebrate our first year of storytelling magic and mayhem. One year ago, Six Feet Apart Productions was born with nothing more than a sketchy internet connection, the tech skills of two people who can barely navigate their TV remote and the desire to keep ourselves amused. Since our first glitchy show we've upped our game, added bells and whistles (curtains and a theme song) and a Tech Guru as well. Sure, we've had our share of misunderstood muting, embarrassing camera angles, bad lighting and frozen screens, but most of all it has been a year of wonderful stories. For our anniversary show we are bringing back some of the 84 people who have graced out virtual stage for interviews and storytelling. We could not have carried on this long without YOU, our audience, and we thank you for your support, encouragement and for showing up! This show will be FREE, streamed live on YouTube. There is no charge for this event, but a virtual tip bucket will be available to be split among the performers, so that you have the option of donating if you wish. You may also donate to the tip bucket when you register if you prefer. Join co-producers Claire Hennessy and Regina Stoops along with our fabulous guests for the evening: Sheila Arnold + Simon Brooks + Mary Carouba + Kate Farrell + Diane Ferlatte JP Frary + Bil Lepp + Jessica Robinson + Cory Rosen + Brandon Spars + Kirk Waller
"Rangda: The Legendary Goddess of Bali"
This is a telling of "The Calon Arang Epic" sandwiched between two personal anecdotes based my experiences while living near Denpasar in the early 1990s. The masks in this video are high-quality replicas of sacred masks. Sacred masks would never be used for a storytelling video, and, if they were, they would require white cloths to cover them, etc. I used colorful cloths simply for dramatic effect. This story is the subject of my 2020 book, Rangda: The Legendary Goddess of Bali, published by Wayzgoose Press.
